Admission Applications
Applications are accepted twice a year for Northern Cyprus universities—for the Fall and Spring semesters—and once a year for Türkiye universities, for the Fall semester. For Northern Cyprus universities, the application periods are from mid-April to the end of September for the Fall semester intake, and from mid-November to the end of February for the Spring semester intake. For universities in Türkiye, the application period is open once a year, from January to the end of August. Application deadlines are announced on our website and various social media channels. To ensure a smooth application process, please ensure you meet the following admission requirements before applying.

We do not charge, manage, or accept any payments for application fees or tuition. All required tuition fees must be paid directly by the applicant into the University's account, as specified in the Conditional Acceptance Letter (CAL).
- About Accredition Status: Yetu Tertiary Link (YTL) is not responsible for verifying the accreditation status of the qualifications offered by the universities we partner with through the applicant's local accreditation authority. It is the applicant's responsibility to confirm the accreditation of these programs by consulting the relevant accreditation governing authority in their home country.
Admission Requirements

Cyprus International University (CIU)
UNDERGRADUATE
- Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalents (e.g. O/A’Level, GCSE, WAEC/NECO): At least 5 subjects with minimum C
- Scanned Copy of your International Passport (data page)
- Signed CIU Rules and Regulations (download the document from here)
- Proof of English Language Proficiency (TOEFL 513 PBT/65 IBT or IELTS with score of 5.5 or above).
Students without these documents would be required to sit for the CIU’s English Proficiency exam on arrival. Students can only start their first year of the applied program when CIU English School evaluates and approves their scores - Digital Passport Photo (for student ID badge)
- Age limit is 25 years of age. An International undergraduate applicant should not be older than 25 years of age when applying for an undergraduate program. Female applicants over the age of 25 years may be given admission after evaluation of their admission application.
- All academic documents used to submit an application must be translated into English (where applicable) and attested by either the Ministry of Education in the applicant's country of residence or by the Turkish Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- For West African applicants: All West African applicants are required to include a WAEC/NECO scratch card on their application form
- For Ghana and Nigeria applicants: Applicants must have taken English and Mathematics subjects in order to be eligible to apply
- Transfer Students: Must include the following
- Official transcripts for each completed academic term/year
MASTERS
- Bachelor's Degree Diploma and transcripts for each completed academic term/year.

All applicants for whom English is a second language are required to take EMU English Proficiency Exam, or present documents demonstrating their English proficiency level - Digital Passport Photo (for student ID badge)
- All academic documents used to submit an application must be translated into English (where applicable) and attested by either the Ministry of Education in the applicant's country of residence or by the Turkish Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- For West African applicants: All West African applicants are required to include a WAEC/NECO scratch card on their application form
- Transfer Students: Must include the following
- Official transcripts for each completed academic term/year
- Transfer applications should be to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th semesters. Associate Degree or National Diploma holders generally start from the 5th semester.
- Student should not have been dismissed from a University
- All required modules should have been completed from previous classes
- CGPA should be minimum 2.00 out of 4.00 or the equivalent
MASTERS

- Statement of Purpose / Intention (Please submit on a separate sheet: Your purpose in applying to the program chosen, explaining your motivation as well as the areas of specialization which would be of interest to you within the discipline).

Sabanci University
UNDERGRADUATE

- Proof of English Language Proficiency (e.g. TOEFL IBT, IELTS, TELC, TOLES).
All applicants for whom English is a second language are required to take the English Proficiency Exam, or present documents demonstrating their English proficiency level - Digital Passport Photo (4.5 x 6 cm) (for student ID badge and student permit)
- All academic documents used to submit an application must be translated into English (where applicable) and attested by either the Ministry of Education in the applicant's country of residence or by the Turkish Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- For West African applicants: All West African applicants are required to include a WAEC/NECO scratch card on their application form
- Under the age of 18:
- Notarized Parental Consent Letter for students under the age of 18 taken from both of the parents, stating that their legal guardian
“allows them to enroll and study at Sabanci University.” (It must be uploaded to the online registration system and stamped version with wet signature must be handed in
person.)
*If you are under the age of 18 and both parents can be physically present during university enrollment, there is no need to provide a Notarized Consent Form. Instead, your parents will provide a written authorization letter.
Immigration Rules & Requirements into TRNC
Various announcements have been made regarding the new education model after the pandemic. With these announcements, please be informed about the criteria for arrival requirements in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), entry into the country and quarantine processes. Please note that the entry requirement rules may change at any given time if approved by the TRNC government
The following list of requirements must be met before your travel to the TRNC
Regular Immigration Rules & Requirements:
- Double Transit VISA: Obtain your double transit visa from your nearest Turkish consulate/embassy if your nationality is required to obtain one. Among other required documents, an Acceptance Letter (AL) is part of the required documents to apply for a transit visa. Transit Visa processing in some countries may take up to two months. To avoid last minute and late processing of your transit visa, we recommend that you please apply for admission as soon as possible. For more information about the transit visa application, please visit the Turkish Consulate Website.
- Health Examination Test: All international students will be required to take a medical examination blood test for HIV, Hepatitis, TB during the student permit application process. If you're unsure about your health status, please make sure to have a laboratory blood test in your home country to ensure that you're healthy before you travel to the TRNC.
- Academic Documents and Acceptance Letter (AL): Travel with your original academic documents for registration purposes including the copy of your AL that was provided to you by the University. You'll be required to present your AL at the boarder control check points upon arrival at Ercan Airport, North Cyprus. Without your AL, the passport check border control officials have the right to refuse you entry into Northern Cyprus.
- Round trip flight ticket (2-way): Ensure that you purchase a return ticket as you will be required to show it at the Immigration Control borader post.
About 3rd Country Citizens Planning To Travel To Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Via Türkiye
Please note that the 'OK to Board' requirement, which was in place during the COVID-19 pandemic for third-country nationals transiting through Türkiye, is no longer applicable.
As of August 15, 2023, Türkiye has introduced a new policy requiring a double transit visa for third-country citizens traveling to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus via Türkiye.
